Apply today!About the roleSIGN-ON BONUS - $5,000 (1/3 upon hire, 1/3 after 6 months, 1/3 after 1 year)CDL drivers carry hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the Client's sites. Drivers will be able to operate various equipment, including vacuum tankers, trucks, vans, trailers, and roll-off trailers. The CDL Driver must have a good motor vehicle record and operate all vehicles following OSHA and DOT requirements and all local, state, and federal laws.Responsibilities:

• Safely operate equipment following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up safely and transport waste to a designated location while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure the placarding of vehicles meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork, including expense reports, time sheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo before and during transit.
• Complete additional assigned duties.Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Must be 21 years or older due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience.
  • CDL Class A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
