We're a team that works hard, supports each other, and manages to have fun while making an impact and we're looking to further build on the senior talent within our global communications team.Aon's global Communications Leader for Commercial Risk will oversee internal and external communications for the firm's Commercial Risk solution line, partnering closely with the colleagues who support the firm's Reinsurance solution line as part of our integrated Risk Capital Capability (Reinsurance and Commercial Risk).In partnership with executive and marketing leaders for Risk Capital and Commercial Risk, the Communications Leader for Commercial Risk will be responsible for developing and executing on an internal and external communications strategy to support the firm's Commercial Risk priorities and leadership, identifying and promoting stories that create awareness and understanding of Commercial Risk's content and capabilities, activating a speaker's bureau of Commercial Risk leaders to connect with internal and external stakeholders and amplifying global milestone moments for Commercial Risk.Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute on an internal and external communications strategy in support of the firm's Commercial Risk priorities and leadership, including the amplification of global milestone moments for Commercial Risk.
  • Identify and promote stories that create awareness and understanding of Commercial Risk's content and capabilities.
  • Prepare and activate a speaker's bureau of Commercial Risk leaders to participate in media interviews and internal and external speaking opportunities.
  • Support global Commercial Risk leaders - most prominently the global CEO of Commercial Risk - in communicating across the global Commercial Risk team and with external stakeholders.
  • Partner with the firm's media relations and thought leadership teams to develop and distribute corporate press releases, media advisories and thought leadership content related to Commercial Risk and Risk Capital.
  • Work closely with executive and marketing & communications leaders for Risk Capital and Reinsurance to ensure messaging alignment across the firm's Risk Capital capabilities.Skills and experience that will lead to successExperience/Credentials:
    • 10+ years in commercial risk and/or insurance communications and a proven track record of producing and leading the creation of compelling, complex communications in support of commercial objectives.
    • A bachelor's degree.
    • Ability to lead complex, sensitive internal and external communications initiatives, carefully navigating each situation to balance individual and organizational agendas.
    • Proven track record of advising and building trusted relationships with senior leaders, including C-suite-level executives, to effectively communicate internally and externally.Characteristics:

      • Self-motivated, goal-oriented self-starter with a sense of urgency and strong desire to work entrepreneurially.

        • Exceptional writing and editing skills with proven expertise in using different styles and "voice" to reflect the nature of the individual, audience, and message.
        • Ability to communicate complex concepts simply and visually.
        • Equally comfortable telling the story in "words" and "numbers."
        • Exceptional organizational skills, including a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
