Yaskawa America, Inc. - Drives & Motion Division proudly offers engineering students the opportunity to get professional engineering experience during their undergraduate program through our 6-month co-op program. The primary focus of the program is to give you a real-life look at what engineers do in the world of automation. We encourage you to put your education into action and get hands-on training by working on everyday engineering projects. Our overall goal is to provide you with a variety of real and interesting projects to work on, as nothing beats true field experience.The Yaskawa Embedded Software group performs extensive customization of AC motor drives to enhance and improve them for the US market. The Embedded Software Co-op is a hands-on role located in Waukegan, IL where you will work alongside professional software engineers. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our team and grow your engineering skills by assisting with embedded software development projects and supporting internal process improvements.Requirements:

• Currently Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in EE, CE, with junior standing
• Requires availability to work full time for a summer plus a semester
• Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
• Willingness to work with a team
