Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Seafood Team Member to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our seafood department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
• Ensure a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate department signage and pricing, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Assist with sampling programs, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing, and perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.Requirements
  • Ability to sell proactively and maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team, with the ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, and effective time management and organization skills.
  • Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market, with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.Working Conditions
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in a wet and cold environment.
    • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and the ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
