Job Description:

Nursing Department Director Location: Chicago, Illinois About Us: St. Joseph Village is seeking a Nursing Department Director (DON) to lead our skilled nursing facility. Our vibrant senior living community offers a range of care services, including assisted living, memory support, and rehabilitation therapies.

Oversee the operation of the nursing department to ensure quality resident care and compliance with regulations
Plan, organize, and evaluate nursing care services for residents
Interview and hire nursing staff, and ensure adequate coverage as per state regulations
Develop and implement nursing care plans, and coordinate with therapy services
Establish nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures
Advise on staffing and equipment requirements to meet resident needs Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- 5 years of general staff nursing experience
- 3-5 years of nursing administration experience
- Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure
